I agree with you Roger as a former crane driver at springs branch 2 rail cranes would have had the site cleared while the people in charge these days were still trying to plane how to clear the site.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. But those brackets are only for re railing purposes and not
for using with Matterson Jacks.

Hi As your been painted yet and if so what colour did you settle on.There is a good photo in the galleryof the ex springs branch crane after a works refeb.I was one of the drivers of it.

Being an ex fitter and steam crane,diesel hydraulic driver at springs branch (Wigan TMD ) I can relate to a lot of the stories in the book a very good read and worth every penny.

Can anybody tell me the number of the 50 ton Cowan Sheldon crane and any depots it was stabled at
during B. R. days that is on the Keighley & worth valley railway.
