Found this clip earlier about the refitting of the boiler to the NELPG's Q6.
THe date 12th May was a closed day on the NYMR for trackwork.

Ín the Data files ADRC95221 ADRC96718 are the numbers listed in the box.
Or did it get renumbered on conversion?

It says so in the BDCA details but how old is that data?
Also there is a 2nd 45t crane listed, where is that now ?

Looks like I guessed wrong, as I have seen a note about a 125t KIROW in transit to Sheffield.

According to the BBC News webpage at least 1 traffic lane will be closed for the operation.

Road mobile over the wall would be my guess.

A friend of mine passed me this photo of an article from 1977 about a derailment in Darlington.
Does anyone know any more detail?
Crane in use?
Nothing on the RAIB site. Too early for them I suppose.

We do know that the 2nd page covers a linked incident at a later date.
