Not with regard to Breakdown cranes but to Plasser / Cowans 12t PW Cranes When planning Ballast trains that included rail cranes in the makeup, I used to consult with the relevant Supervisor allocated to the overall job and ask which way he wanted the jibs facing. With the drawing numbers off the sketches, it may be possible to ask the Search Engine at the NRM York and see if they hold copies of the drawings.
It might even be possible to check via the website, not sure about that though.

It seems that 2 x KIROW 1200's have been involved in the recovery of containers from the derailment site.
1 x Network Rail and the other from Volker Rail.
