ADRC95218 was supplied to the LNER in Feb 1940 and allocated to New England numbered 941599 later DE330110, later moving to March (Feb 1968) then Healey Mills c.1980. Following an accident c. 1968 the original jib was replaced with an all-welded jib with an articulated foot. In August 1986 the cran...

Bryan,

A warm welcome to the group!

How is the work progressing with '102, when will we see her working again?

Indeed this is one of the "must have" books for any crane enthusiast! It was, as you say, written by Bill Bishop, and many of the photos were supplied by S C Townroe. Bill Bishop, who sadly is no longer with us, started his career with the Fratton breakdown gang and later moved to Eastleig...

Chris, A very warm welcome to the group! One of the reasons that we decided to set up this forum was to try to allow us - the people who now operate 'heritage' cranes - to establish contact with you - the people who used to use them in anger. We realise that there are relatively few of the 'real' cr...

You are to be congratulated on both the quality and quantity of your online crane photos; you have some very intersting pictures, and it is kind of you to share them with us.

I would like to second David's comments about user names. I appreciate that in many cases the use of aliases on internet forums is sensible, but I like to think that this this will be a little different - perhaps more like a professional trade association than the "rant and rave" environme...

As one of the people instrumental in the establishment of the BDCA I thought I had better introduce myself. I have always had a strong interest in railways and steam locomotion, something I no doubt gained from my father who has similar interests. Once long ago I had the good fortune to be able to v...

Alex, welcome to the forum! I am looking forward greatly to seeing both your models completed. When/if you put the Gauge 'O' kit into production, please put me down for one.

Alex,

What impact will the 5" have on the completion date of the 'O' gauge version?
