Thanks for that, Rob.

I found lots of educational things in there, about rail maintenance vehicles and operations in general.

I was interested to see a reference to steam cranes in it, as late as December 1986, namely clause 12.5 which instructs: "Steam cranes must not be used with the chimney extension raised under overhead line equipment without the agreement of the Area M. & E. Engineer".

Other references to the operation of cranes were also of interest, as were the drawings of the BRUFF vehicles that you drew modellers' attention to.
