Hi
I have worked in the rail industry all of my working life and still do, I started work at the age of sixteen as an apprentice Vehicle Builder at Thornaby carriage and wagon Depot and worked there until 1991 when I left for Neville Hill in Leeds. I was an active member of the Thornaby Breakdown Team from around 1988 until leaving.
I now work within a small team in the technical department at Neville Hill and am currently engaged in setting up a breakdown recovery vehicle

Hi David
Welcome
If you fancy a restoration project, the vehicle you need is at Eastleigh depot.

Only joking!, I expect you are talking about a new build.
Please tell us more.

Hi David,

I know that feeling, I have been active in the setting up of 3 locations for Breakdown and Recovery for Freightliner, and the training of 38 members of staff for recovery, with more being trained this week and in a couple of weeks.

We now do our own in house training both at supervisor and operator levels.

We have also invested heavily in new MFD gear and skates.

I believe that you also have an old Mk1 BG you use too?

Best of luck, drop me a line if you need any help.

Cheers
