I have worked in the rail industry all of my working life and still do, I started work at the age of sixteen as an apprentice fitter at Thornaby Depot and worked there until its closure in 2008 with the exception of 2 years when I worked in France, I currently work in Spain. I was an active member of the Thornaby Breakdown Team for 25 years including supervising for 11 years, during that time I attended many incidents and almost always carried my camera and sometimes my camcorder so have a record of some of our work. During my supervisory years my remit included the maintenance of the Breakdown Train.
