Hello
I note that the website shows that the Craven 50 ton crane on the KWVR (ADRV95206) is out of use. Actually it is currently fully operational. It is owned by the Bahamas Locomotive Society and is usually to be found at Ingrow adjacent to the Bahamas Society workshop and museum.
We used it during April to turn the boiler of the LNWR Coal Tank and is to be used in the next few weeks to return the boiler to the engine frames.

Hi Pete,

Very many thanks for the update, and the extremely good news that the Cravens is fully functional. It is not always easy keeping fully up to date on the status of preserved cranes unless we have a contributor from the railway concerned.

Hello Pete,

Sorry, the mistake was mine. Both databases have now been corrected.

The "Extant UK Breakdown Crane" database also now shows that the crane is owned by the Bahamas Locomotive Society and is situated at Ingrow, and the ADRV95206 Album on the website's Gallery has been amended likewise.

The two Craven 36/50-ton cranes were superbly engineered and I'm delighted that you are maintaining yours in working order.

I'm sure visitors to the Gallery would enjoy photographs of your forthcoming boiler lift if you or a member of your group would be kind enough to provide some.
