Work is progressing on 1561S. All the boiler fittings and associated pipework are being overhauled or replaced. The Coal Bunker has been removed for repairs to the bottom plate and side wall. The Frame exposed is being de-scaled and painted. Updates to follow. Pete P. |

Thanks for the update, Pete. 1561S needs a lot more work than I'd envisaged, but I don't think it could be in better hands than with Swanage, and I'm sure it will be an outstanding and very useful machine when the overhaul reaches completion! |

1561 will be in steam for all 3 days of the Swanage Railway's Gala this Friday Saturday and Sunday. |

A successful 3 days in steam. The first time since withdrawal that the crane has been fully working. Not insured for lifting yet, one or two things to sort out first. Pictures to follow. |
