The Crane's website and recorded restoration progress is here, and updated from time to time. http://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/blueb ... crane.html The crane has at last been removed from its siding this week, for straightening and levelling of said siding, and the crane, once replaced, will soon have scaffolding all round it, to permit cleaning and painting at height within the safety regulations of these times; looking forward to removing the remainder of the evidence of its 10 or more years in and under trees and storage without care, and cleaning and painting in what remains of the painting season for outdoor projects such as ours. The Bluebell Railway 9F Club of young enthusiasts, parents and supervisors has been of considerable help from the early days of the revived project. Further updates to web site and here from time to time. |
