S 31322 was seen at York 21st July 1969.

Can anyone help as to what type of crane it was?

Any other detail?

Does it still survive or has it been disposed of?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, have had a look around my records and I'm pretty sure there was no S31322, however there was a DE331322 which was allocated to York around this time. This was a CCE Heavy duty steam crane built by Grafton in 1939 and later carried the CEPS number DRG80117. It was sold to the North Norfolk Railway in 1981 Where it remains today, I believe in working order.

Thanks for that.
A friend of mine has been going through his old notes and wonders what he saw.
