6V38 hauled by 66134 came to grief on the points at Llanwern West Junction yesterday 16/1/17. Third wagon in the consist derailed causing damage to the junction pointwork. ADRC96713 and support vehicles dispatched from Wigan this morning sandwiched between 67007 & 66134. Recovery could be difficult as the junction is directly under the A48 road bridge. |

Looking on Google maps and Streetview seems to be a wide span with a flat deck so any recovery will be with jibs nearly flat or slightly inclined. |

The recovery did go ahead but unfortunately I have few details and have no idea whether the rail crane was used. |
