Chris Capewell reports on OTP that this crane is currently in store/out of service at Knottingley.
He may be able to add some more detail next time he checks in.

I actually doubt this supposedly semi-official information; as other sources state the crane and three support coaches left Knottingley for Wigan in ca. May 2015; and the move was photographed.
A view of googlemaps/satellite shows ( on whatever date?; ) two sets of support coaches at Springs Branch. One with a crane attached and not 'blocked-in'; the other somewhat 'blocked-in' by wagons fore and aft. ( Google Earth have a different image with no support coaches visible. )
