A Container train has derailed near Ely this morning.

Any sign of any Cranes being put to use.
One comment says surrounding land is a bit boggy.

Or will it be BRUFF type vehicles instead.

Elsewhere a comment unconfirmed was that at least 1 Crane is on its way from Wigan.

Reported on WNXX website that 68016 has worked 4K97 from Crewe - Ely with ADRC96715 and support coaches. Don't know if they'll be used as apparently access is very restricted.

The BBC Local Live Cambridge blog ( or whatever it is ) notes a crane has arrived via Manea.
It is the Colas Kirow 1200 - so the second time this year a non NR crane used at an accident site.

Has the NR CS worked into the other end of the incident?
I couldnt find any likely movement on Real Time Trains.

Apparently 96715 has been parked up at Whitemoor Yard, reportedly due to lack of suitable crew.

Pictures of CS en route and Colas Kirow 1200 lifting containers in Wednesdays edition of Railway Herald.
