| Post subject: | 75-ton Steam BDC at Broxbourne Station in the Early 1970s |
A short film of Stratford's 75-tonner DB966111 called in to Broxbourne to lift one end of a flat wagon that had run a severe hotbox can be seen at http://www.youtube.com:80/watch?v=sU9aFMBX89k. Also to be seen is the jib being stowed after the lift and then the crane being hauled away. It's a soundless Super8 colour film and is now some 40 years old, so it's not of the highest quality but should be of interest all the same. Thanks to Tony Statham, the owner of the film, for bringing it to my notice. |
