An excellent find, Bryan!

I was fascinated with the film from start to finish. The only disappointment for me was the realisation that I started school in that long-ago year!

The breakdown crane in the film carries Cowans Sheldon works number 3765, and Peter Tatlow's book (Railway Breakdown Cranes - Vol 1, page 162) tells us that this was built for the LNWR in 1917 at a cost of £4,525 and in LMS days was first numbered MP5, then was given RS1008/36 which it carried to the end. It was scrapped in December 1964.
