Youtube clip showing overhauled boiler lift onto chassis. Smooth lift in (unusually) beautiful weather. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUSLcQt ... tml5=False

Here's a blog of the same event, again courtesy of Stan: http://nvrcrane.systemsoft.co.uk/page21.html

Stan was banksman for the event, and made a fine job of it too. I was there as a spectator so was able to help out with photos.

In the background.
Has the NVR now got a Twin jib Tracklayer?
Would not have thought it be would of much use on a single line.

Bryan,

Well spotted - the NVR does have some double-track (well, passing loops at least!)

The tracklayer belongs to Colas, they use the NVR yard several times a year for maintenance. Occasionally their Kirow crane is in attendance too. We have a good relationship with their people and have made use of the Kirow at times when ADRR95207 is out of action. I think there will be some footage of that somewhere. If I can find the URL, I'll post it here.

Stan
