I came across a clip on YouTube yesterday of a magnificent example of British engineering .... being lifted by the East Lancs Railway's Cowans Sheldon 75-tonner! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wUBsI9L1JY It is a clip I don't remember seeing before and thought it deserved mentioning here. |

A similar task was carried out on the NYMR in the 80's I believe using the 45 ton Ransomes at Newbridge. That was a Deltic re engine as well. |
