I happened across these two YouTube videos earlier, showing a couple of crane incidents in Germany. Evidently it is still easy enough to make them fall over. I thought that others might find them of interest.

Is it just coincidence, or is there a problem with the KIROW's?
A fair number appear to have fallen over for one reason or another.
2 featured in the clips in this thread and another at Waterloo Christmas about 2008 probably a few more.

It may simply be that nearly all rail cranes are Kirow now, so if a crane falls over it probably will be one.

It is also possible that a growing dependence on automatic safety features is making operators less intuitively aware of danger, so if the safety system fails or is switched off the risk of disaster is that much greater.

I’d say the first video is at least thirty years old, possibly closer to forty.
