A photograph of a Cowans Sheldon 45 ton breakdown crane – circa 1946. What does ‘Betty St Patrick’ and P-TT mean? They sound more like RAF nose-art and squadron aircraft codings!? A suggestion for Betty is Betty Boop; but a connection with St. Patrick? ( Photo by the late Carl Belingrodt, courtesy Tobi Alstadt. ) Any further information would be welcome.
