The crane in the foreground is the Badarpur one.
It seems the gantry of a second crane is slightly visible over the goods
wagon roof. This should be the Lumding one.

The journalism is just slightly hysterical?

Diesel bdcs they may be..........but 50 years young.
An American visiting the Port Cartier Railway, Canada in November last year saw both the 1961 Cowans Sheldon cranes and they are both in working condition.

But in the meantime - there is a model that can be seen more easily than a trip to the frozen north.
