The sole rail breakdown crane on SNCF does not appear to have been used in the recovery of the derailed coaches..

The road crane used can be seen by searching, in several images and is a Terex/Demag AC-700, provided by Dufour, one of the crane hirers/operators contracted by SNCF to provide immediate upon demand service.
