Another contender?

This firm intends to produce a telescopic 160 tonner.

Note the connection with the Rauma-Repola, Finland firm.

It will be interesting to see who makes the first order; and what the design resembles.

Kirow have delivered seven type Multi Tasker 2880 cranes ordered by China National Rail. 200ton capacity ( 2880t/m ).
Aside of their capacity their wheel arrangement is interesting, and possibly unique to date; 4+4+4+4+4+4W.

Curiously Kirows web material is a bit thin on detail and specification. see their gallery for scans.

http://www.xinhuanet.com/local/2015-11/ ... 429605.htm

""""Nov 2015 - the 1700-ton meter railway crane independently developed by China CRRC Qiqihar Vehicle Co., Ltd. successfully completed the curve leveling performance test, and the test indicators fully met the design requirements. This result indicates that CRRC has mastered all the core technologies of international advanced railway cranes. .

The 1700-tonne railway crane group is the key topic of the 2007 Ministry of Railways Science and Technology Research and Development Program. After the technical plan passed the review and completed the technical design, Qiqihar Vehicle Co., Ltd. began trial production and related test work in 2013. So far, the car has completed all major tests and parametric tests such as static strength, dynamics, curve leveling, and double revolution. The test results show that the lifting torque of the car has exceeded the similar crane products at home and abroad, and the technical level has reached international advanced level."""

But still a tad behind Kirow at 2880t/m.

After a period when Kirow ( as part of Kranunion ) have been very quiet in the press release department a new publication has appeared ..........

https://www.kirow.de/fileadmin/Download ... cle-EN.pdf

It might be hoped it becomes regular.

Noted are large Multi-Taskers as BDCs for Bangladesh and Turkey; and as track renewal cranes for French and German Contractors.

There is absolutely no mention of the KRC250LUL track renewal cranes for TubeLines - Plant Services / Transplant; which are now eighteen months late in delivery. I imagine all sorts of issues are involved; technical, financial, contractual .... I am constrained from saying more!
