They are using this photo for advertising. http://www.bachmann.co.uk/image_box.php ... height=435
Is this 1561 at Ashford?

Interesting news indeed! Perhaps ironic that months after Wild Boar Fell Models introduced its exceptional 3D-printed R&R 45-tonner, Bachmann announces a model of the same type of crane!

Here's a link to the news page for those who want it:

The photo is definitely 95210/1561 (the half-height wasp striping distinguishes it from its sibling) however I cannot say for sure where the photo was taken.

Where did you find the advertisement with the photo?

The photo I posted was a link from the Swanage Railway's staff forum. It is similar to one in Tatlow, Black and white which is why I wasn't sure.

Evening all

For those who haven't seen it yet Bachmann released CAD images of the forthcoming crane. The crane featured in the images is 1561S

Any critical comments are welcomed!

Afternoon all,
For those who haven't yet seen it the samples of the 00 gauge Ransomes and Rapier 45t steam crane were on show at the recent Warley Model Railway Exhibition.

Anyone care to spot the detail variations between models?

I run out of superlatives with this model!

As can be seen the tooling allows for the correct GW, SR and LNER pattern details (note the jib runners, RB details, and inside/outside valve chest configurations).

That looks like a working radius indicator too! The longer you look, the more detail you see.

Absolutely stunning!

It is my understanding that the tooling allows any of the 45-tonners which had manual (as opposed to hydraulic) RB loading mechanisms to be modelled, namely the 4 GW cranes and the 2 SR cranes from the 1939 order, and the 2 LNER cranes from the 1940 order, and also allows for most if not all of the evolutionary changes which took place during the long service lives of these cranes.

Liveries which can legitimatesly be carried by these models therefore include grey in GWR, SR, and LNER versions; black in GWR, SR, LNER, and BR(W) versions; BR(S), BR(E) and BR(M) red; and even BR yellow.

The operating period which can be covered is from 1940 through to 1989.

A very versatile model.

Here are some further photos kindly supplied by Bachmann, and which can therefore be embedded (rather than linked).
