Dear all

Phil Scott is preparing a stock book for the Glos-Warwick Railway. He has an outstanding query about this crane
http://www.ws.vintagecarriagestrust.org ... p?Ref=1263 Smith & Rodley 18t diesel crane (had painted no. 195 when arrived from WSR)

I believe that this is the crane which I recorded in internal use at Newport Docks, as http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/p63236303.html
http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/p63236305.html
http://gallery6801.fotopic.net/p63236310.html

Is anything more known about the Glos-Warwick Crane?

He also has a request out about
http://www.ws.vintagecarriagestrust.org ... p?Ref=1271 GWR hand crane L15

I'll pass on any comments.

Paul,

Not being a breakdown crane this is a little outside my particular area of expertese, but having studied the photos very carefully I am inclined to agree that the crane you photographed at Newport and the crane at the GWSR are one and the same.
